Hypnosis, Hypnotherapy- Find
a Hypnotherapist in London & UK, Brief Strategic hypnoTherapy
Hypnotherapy is a brief form of therapy which helps you
resolve many issues in your life quickly and effectively.
The experience of hypnosis varies from one person to
another, but generally involves natural deep states of
relaxation (in which you can access subconscious resources
to facilitate positive change in your life.) This naturally
relaxed state of hypnosis allows you to establish
appropriate new beliefs and act upon them, resulting in your
breaking unwanted habits, changing your behaviour patterns
and overcoming limiting beliefs.
Throughout the hypnosis experience, you remain in full
control and are not unconscious or asleep. Most people
experience a feeling of well-being and a more positive
outlook after each consultation of hypnotherapy.
Hypnosis has been used as a therapeutic tool dating back
thousands of years. However, the formal term hypnosis was
coined as recently as the 18th century. Hypnosis refers to
the specific psychological and biological state the
individual enters in order to make meaningful therapeutic
change. Clinical Hypnosis & Hypnotherapy refers both to the
diagnosis of problems and the use of hypnotherapy approaches
to treat them within a structured clinical framework.
The Society of Brief Strategic
hypnoTherapists is an independent professional
body representing clinical hypnotherapists in active
practice. Democratically run by practising therapists, the
Society is a non-profit making organisation dedicated to
upholding the highest standards of ethical practice of
hypnosis and hypnotherapy. The Society has rigorous criteria
for the regulation and continuous professional development
of its members.
All the hypnotherapists featured here have met the highest
standards of training in hypnotherapy and ethical practice.
